Protection dog prices: what has been published, and what is left out

In a CNBC report from 2019, a premium provider said its highly trained dogs cost between $30,000 and $80,000, averaging about $50,000. At the low end, Insurify reports that a Belgian Malinois puppy from a breeder starts around $1,200 and may exceed $9,000 for show or breeding quality.
